Privacy Policy
Laurent Capital (“Laurent Capital,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of the business owners, executives and advisors who visit our website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through https://laurent.capital (the “Site”), how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices and rights available to you. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described below.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the Site and respond to inquiries.
- Information you provide. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address and company, and any optional details you choose to share, such as your phone number, role, revenue range and the content of your message. With a contact or newsletter submission your browser also sends how you first arrived on the Site (the landing page, the referring site and any campaign parameters) and the list of Site pages you viewed, with their titles and times, so we can see which content led to your inquiry.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records limited technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and the date and time of your request. This information is used to deliver the Site and protect it against misuse.
We ask that you not include confidential financial details, trade secrets or sensitive personal information in your initial inquiry. Where appropriate, we will arrange a secure channel and a confidentiality agreement before receiving such information.
Cookies and Tracking
The Site does not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies required to deliver and secure the Site. We measure page views first-party: each page you view on the Site, including our research articles, is recorded with a random visitor identifier kept in a first-party cookie and your browser’s local storage (named _sv, one year), together with the page address and title, the referring site, campaign parameters, your browser language and time zone, and the approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to see which pages lead to inquiries, and we do not sell it. The Site also keeps your first landing page, referring site and campaign parameters in your browser’s local storage. When you submit a form, it sends that first-landing record and the visitor identifier, which lets us attach the pages of the Site you visited to your inquiry. You can clear these at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
How We Use Information
- To review and respond to your inquiry and to evaluate a potential engagement.
- To communicate with you about our services, where you have contacted us or otherwise expressed interest.
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site.
- To comply with applicable law, regulation and legal process, and to protect our rights and the rights of others.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Contact form submissions are transmitted to the firm’s internal collaboration workspace, operated by a third-party provider, so that our team can respond. We also rely on providers for website hosting, email and similar services. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
We retain inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, to maintain an appropriate record of our business communications, and to meet legal and regulatory obligations. Server logs maintained by our hosting provider are retained for limited periods in accordance with that provider’s practices.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to the Site. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), may provide you with the following rights, subject to certain exceptions:
- The right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it.
- The right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you.
- The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
- The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information through the Site.
- The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise these rights, call (650) 999-9845 or email info@laurent.capital with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request by matching the information you provide against the information we hold, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of that authorization. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out request where applicable.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
